Here is a little infographic about infographic design principles. Take a very quick view (>5 seconds), then look at the number sequence below the post.

You will be a little surprised at the reading order, and what you notice.





I'd be willing to bet that you went in this order:

2,3,4,1

This is an adaptation on a graphic I have seen floating around the dataviz community. I changed up the typography on what I thought might be a slightly misleading design in the original, where the lead/title type itself may provide a slight bias toward hierarchy.
